Sun-Hwa Kwon

Backstory
This Korean couple met after Jin quit his doorman job at the Seoul Gateway Hotel, and Sun had just been rejected by her potential husband, a hotel owner's son, whom she met via a matchmaker hired by her wealthy parents. After an epic, class-crossing courtship, Jin and Sun married — but by the time they boarded Oceanic 815, the union was nearly kaput: Sun had recently learned that Jin's job as her father's ''special assistant'' was a front when he came home with blood on his hands, so she secretly learned English (from the hotel owner's son, no less) to stage a getaway. Jin, meanwhile, was contemplating making this work trip to Australia his last before ditching the family business and starting over with Sun in America.

Island Life So Far
The twosome's rough patch continued postcrash: Sun got along a little too well with Michael, which sent Jin into domineering mode. And Michael later accused Jin of burning his escape raft, prompting a fight that revealed to the entire group that Sun spoke English when she yelled for them to stop. Jin eventually reconciled with Michael and helped him rebuild the raft. Sun continues to put her herbal knowledge to good use, tending a garden that yields many medicinal plants. Jin, meanwhile, has used his experience as a fisherman's son to provide fresh seafood for the islanders. The duo was last seen sailing to the Others' side of the island with Sayid; their relationship is stronger than ever now that Sun has revealed she's pregnant. Of course, Sun's doctor told her that Jin is infertile — so expect this tropical soap opera to continue.

Burning Question for Season 3
''How truthful has she been with Jin about her past?'' asks Cuse. ''And related to that,'' Lindelof adds, ''is the baby his?''

We Predict
The Others get their kid-obsessed clutches on the mommy-to-be and determine through some creepy genetic testing that the zygote isn't Jin's genetic material — but it's not Sun's, either.
